Groups
We generally reserve Saturdays for groups and we can accomodate a maximum of 16 people per day. If you have a larger group or wish to come on a week day, let us know as early as possible and we can try to to arrange it. Sign up soon because our schedule fills up quickly.
Requirements for groups are as follows:
- Please identify a group leader. This is the contact person for the group and the person with whom we will communicate.
- All volunteers need to fill out and submit a liability waiver. This is the responsibility of the group leader.
- Habitat for Humanity provides water but lunch should be provided by the group.
The Fine Print
We require that all volunteers sign and submit a Liability Waiver for each house and/or project on which they work. You will NOT be allowed to volunteer without signing a waiver.
What to Expect
- We generally work rain or shine. Dress accordingly; layers work best.
- You must wear closed-toed shoes. No sandals, flip flops, bare feet.
- We'll have water and cups on site, but you should bring snacks and food.
- We have all the tools and materials so you don't have to bring anything, unless you've been specifically asked to do so. However, if you have a favorite hammer, bring it along! (Make sure your name is on it.)
- You don't have to have any specific knowledge to volunteer on our worksite. We will train you on whatever you need to know.
Map to Hope Court
We built the road ourselves and it doesn't actually show up on the map. But this is where it is - approximately 1/4 mile north of Cty Rd OT, just off of Sand Lake Road.
