You're not a business owner? No problem! Encourage your employer, church, or favorite businesses to become a Board Sponsor. It's easy, free, and a great way to help eliminate poverty housing! CLICK HERE!

How does it work?

2x4 or 2x6 boards are displayed at Board Sponsor locations throughout the community. Each board has a collection box, signage, and colored markers. Members, customers, and employees of the Board Sponsors who wish to support Habitat for Humanity-La Crosse Area sign their name on the board, and make a donation of $1 or more.

The event begins with the distribution of the boards and collection boxes to Sponsors. The House of Hope board sponsors display and promote the boards until mid-September. The boards are then used to construct the House of Hope Float. The float is placed in the Oktoberfest Maple Leaf and Torchlight parades, as well as displayed at the Fest Master’s Ball and the South Side fest grounds. There, people who signed the boards enjoy searching the float to find their name.

At the conclusion of Oktoberfest, Habitat volunteers dismantle the float, and the boards are used in the construction of the next Habitat House. All the money from the sponsors and collected from signatures will be used to build the 2006 House of Hope for a family in need in the La Crosse Area.

How do you want to get your board?

I'll pick up a Board at the Habitat ReStore at 434 Third Avenue South in
La Crosse. The boards will be available during store hours beginning Wednesday, May 29.
(ReStore hours are Wednesdays-Fridays 10am-6pm, and Saturdays 9am-3pm.)

Please deliver. (A Habitat volunteer will call you to set up a time.)
