Habitat for Humanity - La Crosse Area


Qualifications

Habitat for Humanity is an equal opportunity program. Families are selected based upon four criteria:

  • Need for adequate housing.

  • Ability to pay a Habitat-La Crosse Area mortgage, real estate taxes, and homeowners insurance. This is generally around $500-550 a month. (See Income Guidelines).

  • Willingness to partner. This includes completing 350 hours of sweat equity, participating in credit counseling and any additional training sessions that are offered, demonstrating commitment and responsibility, and being a responsible partner.

  • Residency of the La Crosse Area for a minimum of 12 months prior to making application.
