One of the most difficult problems Habitat for Humanity-La Crosse Area faces is finding affordable lots and homes to purchase for new construction or rehab. Most sites cost between $20-30,000. Since the family partner purchases the home from Habitat-La Crosse Area, the cost of the site is often the difference in whether or not a home is affordable.

We are constantly searching for affordable lots in the La Crosse area—for families who live in La Crosse, Onalaska, Holmen, West Salem, Shelby, Bangor, etc. We cannot purchase sites in the flood plane.
