The Habitat ReStore Volunteer Opportunities

Donations/Receiving

• Cleaning and pricing donations before being put on the sales floor

• General cleaning/organizing of loading dock

• Ability to lift a minimum of 40 lbs

• Tasks as assigned

 Merchandise / Sales Floor

• Customer Service

• Stocking and pricing of donations

• Merchandise maintenance – making sure merchandise is organized and is easily accessible

• Setting up shelving and displays

• Ability to lift a minimum of 40 lbs

• General cleaning of sales floor

• Tasks as assigned

 Cashier

• Customer Service

• Cashiering and sales (accurate money handling)

• Processing returns (as policy permits)

• General cleaning of front counter and register area

• Tasks as assigned

 Office Volunteers

• Answering phones & Customer Service

• Data entry

• Mailing/emailing

• Tasks as assigned

 Driver

• Driving to location for donation pick up

• Inspecting and loading donations

• Unloading all donations upon return to the store

• Working with the Drive Scheduler to maintain a consistent pick up schedule

• Ability to lift a minimum of 40 lbs

 Drive Scheduler

• Developing efficient driving routes

• Developing and maintaining a consistent  pick up schedule

• Answering phone calls regarding donation pick up and scheduling pick up

• Working with the driver to ensure good on-site customer service

The Fine Print

We require that all volunteers sign and submit a Liability Waiver before beginning work.

• Please download, read and sign the Release and Waiver of Liability Form.

• If you are younger than 18, the Release and Waiver of Liability Form for Minors signed by a parent or legal guardian.
