We are messengers of HOPE. A hope that everyone in our community will have a decent, safe, and affordable place to call HOME.

Right now you can help a family in the Coulee Region without picking up a hammer! We are looking for 100 local businesses to display Habitat for Humanity House of Hope Boards from the end of September to Black Friday to raise funds and awareness for families in need in our community. RESERVE YOUR BOARD NOW! It’s easy to do, there is no financial commitment, and you’ll be helping us move families from substandard housing into safe, decent, and affordable homes of their own.
Who: Any business in the community
What: Host a house of hope board (each board comes with instructions, a collection box, signage, and colored markers)
When: The timeline for house of hope board hosting is September through December
  • Boards will be ready for pick-up or delivery by September 23, 2019
  • The board will be at your place of business from approximately September 23, 2019 to December 2, 2019
  • Boards will be picked up or returned to the ReStore the first week of December 2019

How does it work?

2×4 boards are displayed at host locations throughout the community. Each host is given a collection box and signage. Members, customers, and employees of the hosts who wish to support Habitat for Humanity-La Crosse Area sign their name on the board and make a donation.

Funds raised from House of Hope donations will be used to expand our home building services, providing MORE homes for MORE families.

House of Hope Boards will be used for various projects built by Habitat volunteers, such as play houses or picnic tables. These projects will then be sold to raise even more money to build more homes, communities, and hope in the Coulee Region. 

Returning your board

Drop them off at the Habitat ReStore at 3181 Berlin Drive, La Crosse (one mile east of Valley View Mall off Hwy 16) during business hours (Wednesday-Friday 10 am – 6 pm, Saturday 9 am – 3 pm), or give us a call at 608-799-2063 and we’ll have a volunteer pick it up.
Not a business owner but still want to help? No problem! Encourage your employer, church, or favorite restaurants and businesses to become hosts.
