Youth and family Opportunities

everyone and anyone can build!
Young people play a huge role in our mission to eliminate low income housing from the La Crosse Area and create awareness of the need for decent, safe, and affordable shelter for all people. We welcome the energy and enthusiasm these young people bring.

Youth Build Opportunities:

Throughout the year we host Family Build Days, Father and Son Build Day in June, and Mother and Daughter Build Day in May. Watch our calendar for information on when these build days will take place.

Young people over the age of 16 may also be on the job site on regular build days as long as they are accompanied by a legal guardian.

Youth Fundraising Ideas:

Click here to see all of the great fundraising ideas we have for youth who are interested in getting involved with Habitat for Humanity and making a difference in their community.

World Habitat Day

The first Monday each October is World Habitat Day, a day when Habitat affiliates and our partners recommit ourselves to a world in which everyone has a decent place to live. To involve more of our community in this, we hold an annual coloring contest for elementary aged students and are beginning an essay contest for middle and high school aged students. Watch our website for more information!

Other Activities by Age:
