Volunteers Needed!

Do you want to get involved with something, make new friends, learn some skills, and make a difference? Volunteer to work at the ReStore!

We are currently accepting applications for ReStore volunteers. Interested volunteers can email Volunteer Coordinator Rachael or stop into the ReStore for an application. The ReStore is looking to fill the following volunteer positions:

Customer Service – Wednesday, Thursday, Fridays & Saturday mornings; Saturday afternoons
Donations Receiving – Wednesday & Thursday mornings, Thursday afternoon
Cashier – Thursday afternoon; Substitute (flexible schedule, available to fill in when needed)

Morning shifts during the week are 10-2, afternoons are 2-6. On Saturdays we open at 9 and close at 3, so the shifts are generally 9-1 or 11-3. We ask ReStore volunteers for a weekly commitment of 3-4 hours. Volunteers who are interested in serving as substitutes may not always serve on a weekly basis.

What We Do

The Habitat ReStore is a unique building materials retail outlet that enables you to buy the supplies you need for home or office renovation, remodeling, and decorating projects at a fraction of the cost.

We collect new and used building materials and sell them at a fraction of retail prices. All profits go directly to Habitat for Humanity-La Crosse Area for building more houses and to remove families in need from poverty housing.

You'll be saving significant money, getting excellent materials and supplies while at the same time supporting affordable housing for lower income families.
