Pave the way for the next phase of ReNew the Block
Summer is heating up, and so is our mission to ReNew the Block in the Logan Northside Neighborhood! We’ve got exciting updates, fresh plans, and a paver-tastic opportunity for you to leave your mark—literally—in the heart of the Northside neighborhood.
What's new on the Block?
Thanks to your support, we’ve made some serious strides over the past year. Logan Middle School has a new outdoor classroom, rain garden, and walking path. We landscaped 11 homes, removed invasive plants, cleared brush, and planted 12 fruit trees as part of a community orchard. Finally, we were able to install rain gardens in the east side boulevard from Clinton to Sill Streets. In all, we planted over 1,275 native plants and 15 shade trees, which are now preventing thousands of gallons of stormwater from becoming polluted runoff, all in the past year!
And we still aren’t done. This summer, we are turning up the heat by conducting major repairs on 8 homes, planting 50 new fruit and shade trees, and installing a food forest on the west and south sides of Logan Middle School. When you think about ReNew in 2025, think of more green space, productive plants, and shady walks down the block. Teams of volunteers will be on the block rehabbing homes, focused on accessibility upgrades and energy efficiency. Help us Pave the Way
We still need your help to finish the neighborhood revitalization in the Logan Northside Neighborhood! This summer, make your mark and purchase a permeable paver with your own unique message. Whether you are honoring a Logan Middle School alumnus, showing support as a business, or just want your name on the block, each paver helps contribute to over 500,000 gallons of stormwater runoff prevented each year.
