Neighbors
Day
Neighbors Day is an annual, city-wide event to help our neighbors get their yards ready for spring. Volunteers team up to rake leaves, trim shrubs, and build community in La Crosse.
Neighbors Day 2026
This year, 473 volunteers came together to serve 182 neighbors during a yard cleanup event. It was a wonderful day of supporting our neighbors and strengthening the community, followed by a shared lunch and raffle.

The collective effort is a transformational day in the City of La Crosse.
Neighbors Day has been a popular event since 1996. Households rely on the generosity of our volunteers and partners to get their yards ready for spring.
In this video, Kate, a longtime Northside resident and Neighbors Day recipient, tells her story. It's because of people like her that we come together every spring for this day of service.
